The GED® Credential – A Second Chance for Adults
How long will it take?
You might be able to complete your GED® credential within a few months but that will depend on the level of education that you begin with.
You must only be age 17 or older to prepare for and write the GED® tests. You also need a South African ID or passport to write the tests.
If you had quite a good education up till about Grade 10 or 11 level, then you can do it quite fast.
Our online course is self-paced, so if you need a bit longer to catch up on some subjects, you can. It is completely up to you.
The online GED® course helps you to get up to standard so that you will get your high school equivalency credential for adults.
Recognised in South Africa*
The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) has evaluated the GED® credential and found the National Senior Certificate as it closest comparable qualification.
There are only 4 subjects and all candidates must pass all four to earn their GED® credential.
